Toronto's Four Seasons Center

Outrageous!!. The new opera house has opened in Toronto without one piece of Canadian music on the programme! So the people who have created this structure believe that the people who can afford tickets want to be seen in a luxurious building, listening ad infinitum to music composed centuries before the invention of the technology that warms their chairs, powers their sports utility vehicles and entertains them 24 hours a day. They feel the people willing to spend the money and energy to go out to an opera house want only the familiar, the old, the dead. Phooey! They’ll be bored stiff while today’s composers will be starving.
