Back to the drawing board

Well, I thought I had finished the general structure of the new aria yesterday, but when I played it for Nick he pointed out that it left him feeling Jesus and Mary were separated – sort of isolated from each other. Which is of course, my initial feeling about the situation but not the feeling I want people to be left with. So I have to work through my own perceptions to come up with a believable way to end the aria with the two of them agreed in common purpose. Sigh.

Still cold, minus 12 or so, but today the sun has gone behind the clouds. There was a gorgeous moon last night though. We tried taking pictures of the moonlight’s shadows but it didn’t really work. We’ll have to set up some time, take the tripod outside and really experiment to figure out how to use the camera.
