No Internet

No Internet service for 2 days due to some wires crossing in a building down the street. Amazing how much and how little that affects me.

I can’t check my email, but I wasn’t expecting anything but newsletters. I can’t check the weather but I open the window and look out and see it’s warm and muggy. I can’t upload my blog - hey, that’s serious. But I write it for uploading later.

I had already come to the conclusion that I was addicted to the Internet. The wide scope of free information always seems an unbelievable bonanza to me. But the true cost is that sense of having wasted so much time reading about what other people are doing or have thought, and no longer having time in front of me in which I can do things or think. So a couple of days without the Internet feels a bit like a holiday!
